Great success in Georgetown. Monday started at UCLA
[03/07/2010] The weekend just ended was back in Italy the large group of College Basketball Camp, which attended the first of two summer sessions, one at the legendary Georgetown University in Washington D.C. from June 19th
to July 2nd.
Now in its 10th annual edition (the 16th overall), College Basketball Camp, the only Italian organization recognized and qualified in the summer camp property in the U.S., sponsored by FIP and Lega Basket Serie A, has once again enjoy the many young Italians love basketball.
Participants from all over Italy, have lived under two weeks of basketball taught by champions of the NBA and the NCAA right in the beautiful campus of Georgetown University, attended by stars of the NBA like Allen Iverson, Patrick Ewing, Dikembe Mutombo, Roy Hibbert, Alonzo Mourning and many others. Young Italians have benefited from the wise and obstinate organization of CBC to live in maximum comfort with the best services available.
On the field were given the opportunity to follow the advice of John Thompson III, one of the most important NCAA coaches have attended the lectures of NCAA coaches, and have seen NBA stars like Greg Monroe or Alonzo Mourning, Pops Mensah Bonsu and Damon Thornton, Jeff Green as well as other players such as Chris Wright, Henry Sims and many others. Finally, they were able to learn from near a Hall of Famer like John Thompson jr and the Mystics star Marissa Coleman.
A dream that became reality!
But in addition to the basket even more as the experience of visiting the U.S. capital with its monuments, the White House, the Capitol, the Lincoln Memorial.
A whole day at one of the largest amusement parks in the U.S., the best shopping districts in the city and experience to enter the Verizon Center in Washington, the building that houses the home games of Wizards to see the Washington Mystics from the first row seating!
The young participants were able to live a dream ... and is already hoping to be able to revive next year! Meanwhile, Monday July 5th
is the second departure of the CBC group, target California, UCLA, Los Angeles. Announced another success!
